SWOT YOUR-SELF

Updated: May 19, 2022

SWOT is an acronym for Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats Businesses use this analysis to understand where they are doing well and where they need improvement. Also, where their potential opportunities are, and possible threats to their business.

I love the concept! It made me think that if we can apply this method to a business organization to get an all around view of how we are traveling, then surely we can use it for insight into our own SELF.

Our decisions, choices, behaviors, reactions, and responses.

This method could easily be used to analyze our personal life, relationship with our SELF and other people, whether romantic or friendships. It can help us understand better how we are traveling with our personal goals, time management, life balance, parenting, fitness, diet, career and personal development. If something isn’t working, we can simply SWOT it!

Taking the time to breakdown an area of our life into these 4 focus areas is a great way for us to improve our understanding of our SELF. Becoming the BEST version of our SELF How am I as a wife/husband/partner? - Strengths - Weaknesses - Opportunities - Threats How am I…. As a friend…SWOT As a parent…SWOT As a colleague…SWOT As a student…SWOT Use the diagram below to begin, expand it as you need. Using this method of SWOTTING our SELF, is a great way to take time to look within, know who YOU are, and how you contribute to the peace or chaos in your life. It can, I believe, deepen and develop our SELF-awareness and help understand exactly where we need to change, modify our behaviour, BE better, or highlight areas we may need to get professional help to move forward with our life. SWOT YOUR SELF before someone else SWOTS you!
