To be resilient is the ability to bounce back or take our ‘original form’ after adversity of some kind.
We all experience emotional distress or some type of trauma, and if you haven’t its only a matter of time. It’s not something to fear but rather accept as part of life.
Not everything has to be labelled as GOOD or BAD.
Experiencing the more difficult times in our lives have a purpose and lesson for us, even if it is one of strength and survival. We can use our experiences and knowledge developed from going through these experiences as a catalyst to help others. Firstly, we must return to our ‘original form,’ our highest self.
No internal or external suffering, or physical challenges can ever change who we truly are.
Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. - Confucius.
Mastering the art of resilience does much more than restore you to who you once thought you were. Rather, you emerge from the experience transformed into a truer expression of who you were really meant to be.- Carol Orsborn
Despite what has happened to us we can build our lives with the understanding everything was not for nothing.
We have hope for the future - this is the road to being resilient.
